Pressure measurement can be challenging when accuracy, temperature, pressure and environmental conditions all matter.
ESI Technology’s HISPEC range of pressure transducers and transmitters has been developed for these demanding applications.
The range combines Silicon-on-Sapphire (SOS) sensor technology with specialist engineering. HISPEC products are used across aerospace, oil and gas, test and measurement, high-temperature applications and OEM systems.
From high-precision pressure transducers to hydrogen-compatible and TEDS-enabled options, HISPEC provides solutions for a wide range of pressure measurement requirements.
HISPEC is ESI Technology’s range of high-performance pressure transducers and transmitters.
The range is designed for applications where accuracy, stability and durability are essential. Different HISPEC models address different challenges, including:
This broad range allows engineers to select a pressure transducer that suits their application rather than compromise on performance.
Silicon-on-Sapphire technologySensor technology plays a key role in pressure transmitter performance.
ESI Technology uses Silicon-on-Sapphire technology across much of the HISPEC range. SOS combines a silicon sensing element with a sapphire substrate.
This provides excellent mechanical strength and electrical insulation. It also supports good repeatability and long-term stability.
SOS technology offers low hysteresis and can withstand high overpressure. It can also operate across a wide temperature range.
These characteristics make Silicon-on-Sapphire well suited to demanding pressure measurement applications.

The HISPEC HI2000 is designed for applications where measurement accuracy is a priority.
It offers accuracy of ±0.1% of span. Pressure ranges are available from 0 to 500 mbar up to 0 to 1,500 bar.
The HI2000 is available with several electrical outputs, including:
Typical applications include:
An ATEX and IECEx approved version is also available for intrinsically safe applications.
HI2000H: Hydrogen-compatible pressure measurementESI Technology also offers the HI2000H, a hydrogen-compatible version of the HI2000.
The HI2000H uses a titanium alloy measuring cell and titanium wetted parts for hydrogen service.
ESI’s hydrogen-compatible range has passed compatibility testing in accordance with ISO 11114-4:2017. This provides additional confidence when measuring hydrogen in demanding applications.
The HI2000H is available with pressure ranges up to 1,500 bar. It can be used for applications such as hydrogen storage tanks and pipelines, as well as lower-pressure and vacuum measurement.
Each hydrogen-compatible unit is supplied with a certificate of conformity verifying hydrogen compatibility.
The result is a high-accuracy pressure transducer with Silicon-on-Sapphire technology and hydrogen-compatible titanium construction.
HI3000: TEDS Pressure TransducerThe HISPEC HI3000 combines high-performance pressure measurement with Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) technology.
TEDS allows important information about a transducer to be stored electronically. The HI3000 includes an on-board 20Kbit EEPROM.
The stored information can include transducer identification, calibration and correction data. Compatible measurement systems can then read this information and use it to configure the sensor.
TEDS technology follows the IEEE 1451.4 standard. It provides a consistent way to store and communicate sensor information.
What are the benefits of TEDS?
TEDS can simplify pressure transducer integration.
Instead of entering sensor information manually, a compatible measurement system can read the stored data from the transducer.
This can help engineers to:
The HI3000 combines TEDS technology with ESI’s Silicon-on-Sapphire sensor technology.
It provides a 10 mV/V output and pressure ranges up to 1,500 bar (20,000 psi). Other pressure ranges are also available.
The HI3000 features titanium wetted parts and high thermal stability. This makes it suitable for applications where accurate pressure data and repeatability are important.
Typical applications include:
HI2200: High-Temperature Pressure TransducerHigh temperatures can create additional challenges for pressure measurement.
The HISPEC HI2200 has been developed for applications where elevated temperatures are part of the operating environment.
The HI2200 can operate at temperatures of up to 200°C. It can therefore measure pressure in high-temperature media and environments.
The transmitter uses stainless steel and titanium construction for additional durability. Pressure ranges are available from 0-1 bar to 0-1,500 bar.
Typical applications include:
The HI2200 provides a practical solution when both pressure and temperature need to be considered.

Pressure measurement becomes even more demanding in downhole applications.
The HISPEC HI5000 has been developed for environments where pressure, temperature and vibration can all affect sensor performance.
The compact HI5000 uses Silicon-on-Sapphire sensor technology. It can operate at temperatures up to 200°C, with pressure ranges reaching 2,000 bar.
The transmitter features an all-welded and sealed construction. It also uses materials suitable for demanding downhole environments.
Long-term stability is particularly important in downhole applications. Equipment may be difficult or costly to access once installed.
The HI5000 is therefore designed to provide reliable pressure measurement in challenging conditions.
HI6000: High-Temperature Pressure MeasurementThe HISPEC HI6000 provides another option for applications where temperature is a key consideration.
It is designed for continuous operation at media and ambient temperatures up to 135°C. Limited operation is possible up to 150°C.
The HI6000 is available with a range of pressure ranges and electrical outputs, including:
This flexibility makes the HI6000 suitable for a wide range of industrial and engineering applications.
HI6200: Compact OEM Pressure TransducerSpace can be just as important as pressure range when selecting a pressure transducer.
The HISPEC HI6200 is a compact OEM pressure transducer designed for applications where installation space is limited.
It uses Silicon-on-Sapphire sensor technology and offers pressure ranges from 1.6 bar to 5,000 bar. Other ranges are available on request.
Electrical output options include:
The compact design makes the HI6200 suitable for integration into hydraulic systems, oil and gas equipment, water systems and other process applications.
HI6200H: Hydrogen-compatible OEM pressure measurementFor compact pressure measurement in hydrogen systems, ESI Technology offers the HI6200H.
The HI6200H uses titanium alloy wetted parts and is designed for compatibility with hydrogen and fluids compatible with titanium alloy.
It retains the compact form of the HI6200 while offering pressure measurement from low pressures through to 5,000 bar.
The HI6200H is available with several electrical outputs:
This provides flexibility when integrating the pressure transducer into OEM and hydrogen systems.
The combination of compact construction, Silicon-on-Sapphire technology and titanium wetted parts makes the HI6200H a strong choice for space-restricted hydrogen applications.
It is particularly suited to hydrogen equipment manufacturers and OEMs that need reliable pressure measurement in a compact package.
Every pressure measurement application has its own challenges.
A laboratory system may require high accuracy. An aerospace test system may need excellent stability and repeatability. Downhole equipment must withstand demanding temperatures and pressures.
OEM applications may have strict size and electrical requirements. Hydrogen systems require materials that are suitable for hydrogen service.
The HISPEC range addresses these different requirements with a selection of specialist pressure transducers.
Rather than using one standard design for every application, ESI Technology provides high-performance pressure measurement solutions for different operating conditions.
The HISPEC range combines several features that make it suitable for demanding pressure measurement applications:
Choosing a pressure transducer involves more than selecting a pressure range and output.
Temperature, pressure, media compatibility, accuracy, available space and operating conditions can all affect the right choice.
The HISPEC range has been developed to address these challenges.
Whether you need a high-precision pressure transducer, TEDS pressure sensor, high-temperature pressure transmitter, compact OEM pressure transducer or hydrogen-compatible pressure transmitter, ESI Technology can help you find the right solution.
With decades of pressure measurement experience and specialist Silicon-on-Sapphire technology, ESI Technology supplies pressure transducers for aerospace, oil and gas, hydrogen, test and measurement, industrial and OEM applications.
