PR3441 Submersible Pressure Transmitter: Reliable Level Measurement in Demanding Environments

PR3441 Depth & Level Pressure Transmitter Accurate liquid level measurement is critical across water treatment, environmental monitoring, marine applications, and industrial processes. The ESI PR3441 Submersible Pressure Transmitter has been designed specifically for these challenging environments, delivering reliable hydrostatic level measurement with excellent long-term stability and durability.

Using proven piezoresistive sensor technology, the PR3441 provides precise depth and level measurement in liquids while maintaining outstanding repeatability and performance over time. Its robust stainless-steel construction and high-strength moulded cable make it well suited to harsh installations where reliability is essential.

Designed for Accurate Hydrostatic Level Measurement

The PR3441 measures liquid level by detecting the hydrostatic pressure created by the height of liquid above the sensor. This simple but highly effective method allows operators to continuously monitor water levels, reservoir depths, boreholes, tanks, and pumping stations.

A vented polyurethane cable connects the transmitter to the surface atmosphere, ensuring accurate compensation for changes in barometric pressure. Additionally, the transmitter features a stainless-steel nose cone with radial inlet holes that help prevent debris and sludge accumulation around the sensing element.

The result is a dependable submersible pressure transmitter that performs consistently even in demanding operating conditions.

The transmitter is available with ATEX and IECEx approvals for use in Zone 0 gas environments, Zone 20 dust environments, and Group I M1 mining applications. These certifications allow operators to install the sensor safely in potentially explosive atmospheres while maintaining reliable measurement performance.

This makes the PR3441 particularly suitable for wastewater treatment plants, industrial process facilities, chemical storage systems, and mining operations.

For tanks, lagoons, settling ponds, wastewater facilities, and other environments where sludge or sediment accumulates, ESI offers the PR3420 Submersible Pressure Transmitter with Sludge Platform. The integrated platform raises the sensing element above the sediment layer, helping prevent blockages and maintaining measurement accuracy.

This design significantly reduces the risk of measurement errors caused by sludge covering the sensing diaphragm. As a result, the PR3420 is ideal for:
